Southtech Hosts Panel Discussion on Microfinance : Financial Inclusion through Digitization of Microfinance

Dhaka, Bangladesh: Southtech hosted a panel discussion on the 29th of June, 2019 at Marino Royal Hotel on Financial Inclusion through Digitization of Microfinance. The event was graced by representatives from some of the leading NGO’s in the country, officials from different organizations including students of Finance major.

The event offered insights into the growing world of Microfinance. The panel discussion was headed by Mr. Gouranga Chakraborty, MF- CIB Project Director of Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA), Md. Shafiul Alam, Senior General Manager of Sajida Foundation and Hafizul Islam, IT Coordinator of DISA (Development Initiative for Social Advancement).

Moderating the discussion, Mr. Syed Mamnun Quader, MD and CEO of Southtech, expressed his views post the event, “We are happy to share this opportunity with our clients and the public. With this platform, we hoped to address and understand the scope of financial technology among MFI’s and how it is shaping the future of microfinance”. Following the discussion, Southtech launched their whitepaper titled “SOS Signals from Six Areas that Financial Inclusion Could Rescue”.
